Underground park in NYC Lower East Side?

Thats right! A proposal to build a subterranean park deep blow the already famous High Line is under debate. The installation, which will be done by David Byrne, is roughly two acres of space in the Lower East Side’s underground. The space is currently an abandoned trolley hub that allowed trolley cars to loop around after crossing the Williamsburg Bridge. Check out the pics above to see the current state of the site and the renderings of the Low Line.

Not even joking, I would fucking move to New York City if this happened. The main reason I don’t live there already is it’s too big, but there are a lot of things that I do love about New York and this would just be the icing on the cake…
