Oh god there’s this interview of David from 1978 on the Chronology DVD and it’s really funny to me because the interviewer is clearly way more interested in smoking his cigarette than in talking to David, but he keeps saying things like “yeah, that’s awesome” or “that’s really cool” in complete monotone. And David keeps hesitating and thinking about his answers for a really, really long time and he’s really fidgety and extra nervous-seeming and the interviewer is really impatient and oh my god could this be more awkward?
